Our Gentle Cleaning Process
At Big Sky Headstone Cleaning LLC, our headstone cleaning service provides gentle, respectful care to restore your loved one's memorial to its original dignity using trusted, conservation-approved methods.
We exclusively use D/2 Biological Solution-a biodegradable, pH-neutral cleaner recommended by the U.S. National Park Service and Department of Veterans Affairs-for safely removing biological growth like mold, mildew, algae, lichens, and environmental stains without harsh acids, bleach, or abrasives that could damage delicate stone.

The Process
1. We gently hand edge around the stone and add pea gravel for drainage as needed.

2. We wet the headstone.
​
3. Apply D/2 cleaner

4. Allow it to work for 10-15 minutes (keeping the surface moist).
​
5. Gently scrub with soft natural brushes and remove debris with soft plastic as needed.
​
6. Thoroughly rinse with clean water.

We also trim grass and remove weeds around the edges of the stone for a neat and polished appearance.
